Saturday 26th
A Walk: Leader: Irene: Benchoona Horseshoe: 12km, Ascent 750m, 7 hours - Challenging over Bog, rock & grass - expect long hike with steep sections, exposed ridges & spectacular views - starting at Lettergesh Beach public carpark (25 mins drive from hotel)
B Walk:Leader: Mike: The Western Way from Illion near Lough Inagh to Maam. About 15km with 250 metres of ascent, 5 hours. This section of the Western Way is on back roads and mountain paths and tracks through the Maamturks, visiting Maam Éan, with its association with Saint Patrick. Car pooling from Leenane will involve about one hour's drive before and after the walk.
Sunday 27th
B Walk: Leader: Irene: Diamond Hill: 3.5 hrs/7km/510m: A short moderate grade walk over a trail with a short steep climb to a rocky summit. The trail includes paths, boardwalks & paving. Start at car park entrance (Free) on N59 west of Letterfrack.
